WHERE IT ALL BEGAN for our owner DAVE
I guess all the above about me is relevant because it’s a huge part of who I am NOW, and people can just take that on face value with the impression my journey here has been easy but there’s also been 41 years of life experience some BIG and diverse that got me here to today. My early years were spent amongst my big loving wog family but a darker reality was held within the walls of home, dealing for years with a verbally and physically abusive step dad, as the only other Male within the house I took on the protector role and peace keeper for my elder sister and mum. Sport kept me going and i propelled myself into it , from which I went on to play years of professional rugby from including super rugby, living and travelling abroad because of it and representing both Australia and Brazil for it.
Amongst that I got my teaching degree, PT certificate, got married to my high school girlfriend and started my beloved F45 Castle Hill. Soon after starting F45 and 4 years into marriage, I found myself with a debilitating and essentially career ending injury and newly separated to be divorced from a relationship I’d spent the better part of 15 years in.
I found myself in a very dark place and each day was only about one foot in front of the other. It was here I learnt lots about myself and really had to dig deep/ find tools to help me keep going. From there my relationship with Cassie and then becoming a father of 3 only accelerated my personal development journey and I came to understand how our early life experiences shape who we are, how we interact and what we come to believe about the world.
Life’s hurdles and hardships are inevitable, and I’m not setting out to make your life easy breezy - impossible ! I want to provide people with understanding and a toolkit that can help you even just pick yourself up again but essentially I want to propel you forward into the life you dream of.
